The Tripodakis Family

The father, Aris Petros Tripodakis, DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, Tufts University), is a prosthodontist of international acclaim with over 40 years of experience. He cultivated in his children a strong philosophical inclination toward the world of dentistry, and, as a result, an understanding of the uniqueness, integrity and poise of each individual face.

Being an artist, their mother Ioanna Tripodaki contributed to the creative upbringing of her children, endowing them with artistic sensitivity and a deep appreciation of natural aesthetics.

Enriched with their family’s legacy in dentistry, Dimitris Tripodakis (DMD, Tufts University) and Despoina Tripodaki (DMD, University of Szeged) have founded the friendly practice Tripodakis Dental +.

Under the same roof, the other two children of the family, Irini and Leonidas, operate the modern dental lab TriDental, which Tripodakis Dental + is in close collaboration with.

Dimitri Tripodakis

BSc, DMD

Was born in Boston USA in 1979 and grew up in Athens.

Was a member of the Greek National Snowboard team and participated in two World Cups and 2 World Championships.

Returned to Boston to pursue his studies receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

During his studies at UMass, influenced by his artist mother, he incorporated classes of photography, drawing, sculpting, and painting.

Studied dentistry at Tufts School of Dental Medicine.

Has taught as a scientific collaborator at the Departments of Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Dimitris has presented various concepts of operative dentistry at national events and conferences with a focus on the implementation of art principals in the cognitive ability and dexterity of the clinical dentist.

Married with four kids.

Enjoys a beer with friends, winter, and gliding on the snow!

Despoina Tripodaki

BSc, DMD

She was born in 1987, in Athens, Greece, where she grew up.

She completed a 4 year-long degree in radiology at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Department of Radiology.

Having done her internship throughout many different hospitals in Athens, she cultivated her approach to and understanding of a person in need.

She went on to study at the Department of Dentistry of the University of Szeged in Hungary

Despoina has experienced and engaged with many different cultures from all over the world.

Has presented various concepts of operative dentistry at national conferences and events.

She has attended numerous national and international conferences and hands-on training courses.

She’s married and has a son.

Loves spending time with her family, hosting dinner parties for friends, and traveling!

Priscilla Christodoulou

Assistant

Born in Greece as the 8th child in line of her family (total 12…), she loves nature and often goes on hikes. She also loves photography, spending time in and out of the practise capturing moments on film.

Konstantina Pappa

Reception

Born in Athens, she loves nature, which is the reason she spends so much time in her father’s garden. She enjoys spending time with her sister and the rest of the family. She loves reading, hikes and yoga.
